The Tokyo Motor Show countdown continues with yet another round of Lexus LF-A leakage courtesy of OmniAuto. Check out the gallery below to get up close and personal with the official shots of the LF-A before we bring you live impressions from the floor. But before you do, get a load of the preliminary specs:

  • Redline: 9,000 RPM
  • Titanium valves, connecting rods, forged aluminum pistons, dry sump lubrication and a titanium exhaust manifold
  • Six-speed sequential gearbox
  • Torsen limited slip differential
  • 3,263 pounds with a 48/52 front-to-rear weight distribution
  • Power-to-weight ratio of 5.8 pounds/hp
  • 65 percent of the body is carbon fiber
  • 20-inch BBS wheels wrapped in 265/35 ZR20 Bridgestone tires in front and 305/30 ZR20 in the rear.
  • 0-62 MPH (100 km/h) in 3.7 seconds
  • Top speed of 201.94 MPH
  • Production limited to 500 units
More to follow. Stay tuned.

I dunno, I'm a little "meh" on it. The FT-86 looks almost as good IMO and it's a LOT cheaper (a lot slower too). It reminds me of a modern day Supra and if that was the case, I'd be excited about it. But it doesn't scream "supercar" to me.

Given its price point, I would rock a 458 or an MP-12C or whatever it's called in a nanosecond before this.

They look better, have the pedigree, and lets face it, at that level, the performance is a wash anyway.

Guys, Rent need for speed shift. You get to drive one of these, as well as a labo reventon, and a slew of other cool ass cars. And the concept above looks just like the in game car.

there's a preview drive video somewhere on youtube, some dutch journalist iirc. he said it's the best car he's ever driven (some 20-year auto industry vet). sounds promising, but just doesn't look like it should cost that much (rumored 350k+??)..

awesome specs, though

Eh, like it a little more after seeing it in motion, but still nowhere near $375K's worth. IMO a car like that has to look the part to get people to spend that kind of cash. I don't care how good it is to drive. 458 in a hearbeat. It's mid $200K range and looks daaaaaamn good.
